Back in Dubai

Long time no see!
we have been in Sweden since the 21 of June until the 2nd of September.
It has been a great time and the wether has been good, much rain and
quite cold=).
Henrik has only been home the last three weeks during this time I was
working, not so good planning!
The girls are home another couple of days, they start on the 13th of
September.

Long time no see=)

So, this is the last day ( at least for a month) of my summer holiday
here in Sweden. Tomorrow I'll start working for a month, and that will
be great fun both to get my brain back in shape and to see my working
colleges again.

And the wearher today is windy and some rain and very very cold. But I
must say we have had lovely summer weather here since we came so some
colder weather is not so bad. The only thing is, I was planing to
bicycle the 16 km to work, but in this wind I think I will reconsider
that=)

And now I have to go out and catch our tent, wich has blown in to the
horses field.

Sweden

Has been in Sweden for a little bit morr then two weeks now. And we
are really enjoing ourselfs. It's so nice all this green nature around
us.
We have been celebrating Cornelia turning six and midsummer, and we
have had very nice weather as well.

This summer I'm going to work for one month, I'm really looking
forward to that.

We have also been a couple of times at " sandby badet" , it's the
place to be during summer. We meet friends we only meet here, so it's
nice to get an update=)

Last week

So finally, last week before summer holidays, how nice it is.
This weekend both Victoria and Cornelia had friends sleeping over on
Friday. And on Saturday evening we went to the beach in Um Suqeim 1 to
play with a friend of Cornelia. Really nice to be down at the beach in
the evening, when it's only around 30 degrees.
This morning was probably the last walk in the sand with Enja and her
friends until after the summer. She really loves to run a round and
play, after an hour walk they are all exhausted.
I'm counting days now til we are in Sweden, 8 days left!

More guine pigs.

So the other day we had three more guinea pigs. I have lost track of
how many there are now somethings around 15.
The other morning there where only one male in the cage, and I thought
good one less. And yesterday evening the doorbell rang and our neighbor
came back with him, hm. Her cat was playing with him in her garden.
Henrik will stay in Dubai til August so I really hope he will do some
thing about it.
Today Victoria has a play date and tomorrow both girls have friend
over, and on Saturday we will go to the beach with a friend of Cornelia.
Lucky we have kids, what would we do otherwise=).
And next week is the last and finally summer holiday. Looking forward
both to sleep in mornings and no more making lunchboxes and coming
home.

Book fair

Today I have had some friends here for coffee and after that me and
Cornelia was at the book fair at school. Cornelia bought four books,
and here Henrik and the girls are reading one before going to bed!

Sweden national day

Today we are celebrating Sweden's national day and I think I will serve "Jansson's temptation". I was checking for THE national course, but found out that it seems like we have a new course every year.
So from now on Family Broman's national course is Jansson's temptation.
Cornelia is home sick today, she has a bad cold.
Will also try to find the national song so our children learn it. They already know UAE's, because they play it every day in school!!

Walk exercise

Not much else to do when it's as hot as here.
We had breakfast and then we went to the pool.
On this picture Henrik is doing his walking exercises in the pool, he
is training realy hard.

Music production at Eis Jumeirah

Today Cornelia and all other children in KG 2 and Gr 1 preformed their
music production and it was so great. Cornelia and her class
did ,Walking through the circus, and they where so cute.
The theater where full of crazy parents, all wanting their child to
see them and be as close as possible to the stage, just so they don't
miss one second of their child's minute of fame, haha.

After that Me and Cornelia went to the Mall Of The Emirates and did
some shopping ( summer sale is on now so we did some good bargains=)).
When we where heading home the clock was already 12.30, so we went to
pic up Victoria. It's so good to be home all afternoon and not
spending all time in the car.

Now it's weekend and I really really hope Henrik and the girls are
trying to get rid of some guineapigs this weekend.

Enja

Now me and Enja are about to see Dubai's answer to the dog whisperer.
Will be very interesting. During this year I think I have manage to do
some progress with Enja but I'm far from satisfied and my dog trainer
her also think that this is something else. So I hope really soon this
lady has time for us, will be great fun.

Yesterday me and Victoria was on a play date at a friends house in
Victory Hights. Nice houses and also nice neighborhood, much greener
that I thought.
This friend of Victoria, her mum is a very nice lady from Jordan and
she is also muslim. So I use this play dates to educate my self in
other cultures.
So we where talking for a couple of hours and the girls where swimming
and playing club penguin.
Cornelia was home with our maid Leela, and I suppose she also played
club penguin=)
This is the worse period of the year now, it 's so warm so it's
impossible to be outside for more the 10 minutes.
The best time, is the mornings, when it's still a bit cooler.

Henrik was at the American hospital doing this magnetic therapy. His
not feeling better but I hope the next ex-ray is showing some heeling
process.

Now it's only 19 day until we are back in Sweden, and that feels
great. Will just stay in our house the first couple of days. Next year
we will bring Enja, at least we think so. It's quite expensive to do
so but I think she would love it.

New hats

I've bought some new hats and I'm not sure if Cornelia or I like them
best!
Today it's 42 degrees and I think this year I'm not so good with
handling the heat!
My instructor at body pump told us today that the more fit you are the
more you sweat, so I must be very fit=)
I'm longing home to Skåne now, my sister is doing a very good job,
sending me lovely spring pictures from home.
Now I picking up Cornelia from school, thinking about taking Victoria
as well??

Guests!!

We have guests again, this time it's Anna and Patrik and their
children. They are unfortunately moving back home to Sweden, in just a
couple of days.
This is just a test to see if it works to e-mail to my blogg!

So hot!!

It's getting hotter and hotter and as if that wasn't enough it's also starting to get humid. Not so nice when you always go around feeling like wet dog=).

But this Friday we where Ten lady's that went out to Bab al Shams, a very nice resort in the middle of the dessert.
We have one friend that are moving back to Sweden now and we wanted to spend one day there with her.
It was a surprise for her and it was quite nice to see her face when she saw all of us!!
We just lay buy the pool all day and of course in the pool. When it was time for lunch, there was this wonderful buffe, everything was great, but the sushi was delicious.
The whole resort is built in a Arabic style, very tasteful!

Henrik and the girls where home all day. Victoria and Cornelia playing with their friends. And they had a sleep over at Saga, but Victoria change her mind at around 10 pm.

We will sure miss the Peterssons!!

Not feeling so well.

I think I might have exercised to much in the heat without drinking or eating some dehydration pills, so now I have had a headache fore a couple of days!
Today Cornelia is also home, she says it hurts in her throat when she swallows.

Henrik went to the hospital yesterday for his magnetic therapy, hope it will help the healing process! He also went to the doctor in the emergency room so she could subscribe some new painkillers.
He got Tramal again and now we are hoping that he can get some sleep during the night.

Victoria first told me this morning that she didn't feel good, but then she came down for breakfast any way. And then she said "mum I will tell you the truth" and of course as the good mother I am I told her that I thought that was a great idea. " I wanted to stay at home just to play Club Penguin, but then I realized that I will miss my friends". I told her that was a good decision.

Now it's only one month until we will go back to Sweden. I'm longing so much!!
Will be nice to see all our relatives and friends there and so nice to come home to our house. I wounder how it looks, we have had it fixed during this spring and my father have been looking after it.

I'm also very curious about the garden. Last year I planted quite many bushes and flowers, so I really hope it's all growing and looking great!

Today I and Cornelia have been sending out invitations to everyone for Cornelias birthday party in Sweden. We have come to an agreement with Cornelia, to have her birthday party down here after the summer, when hopefully Henrik is feeling much better and are able to move around more. She wants to have her birthday party at Build a bear. Victoria wants to have hers at Lakes Club.

And today we also sent out invitations for
Midsummer party, witch is on the 25th so the day after Cornelias birthday. So there will be lots of party to start the Swedish vacation=)

24th of May, eight years ago we married.

Can not believe how fast time past!! Eight years ago today I and Henrik married, and in my stomach there was a little baby growing.
I was thinking about putting some old photos up here but unfortunately they are in Sweden (or maybe not so unfortunately).

Today I have a lazy day, again!! I think I'm having problem adjusting to the heat, because I more or less have a headache every day now. I'm drinking lots of water but I exercise a lot so maybe I have to buy something that is better then just water??

At the moment we have 13 guinea pigs, quite normal I suppose?????????? Not, but in a few weeks Henrik and the children are doing something about it. I have giving them several tip, pet store, dubizzle (something like blocket in Sweden). And the ones that are left, if a boy are to be taken to a vet. We'll see what happens?

Enja has been booked at Pashpows the three weeks we are all in Sweden this summer. I will take her to the vet. this week to have her vaccinated.

New week

So it's Sunday again and a new week has started!! The weekend goes so fast, why! We haven't done much, we have been playing Monopol all four of us. The game is still on=), it's on the table and there are someone (not me) who thinks we will play tonight.

It's getting hotter and hotter and it only just started, puh.
Me and Enja have been out walking on the sand with our friends. Something we really like to do!

This afternoon the girls are having swimming lessons and I will also have a swim.

Thursday

It's heading towards summer and almost everyone seems to longing for the summer hollidays. The children are having their exames in school, and there are no dout they'll pas. Me and Enja are on boot camp at the momemt, meaning very much behaivior exercises, once a week We have our dog trainer over at our place, to give some valuable tip about what to do in the home enviroment. Every
Saturday we are doing group training and every day we are having very kontrolled walks with many exercises, hope this will help!!!
Henriks leg and hip are not healing, but from now on he'll stop taking the Voltaren pain killer, because we've heard that it can stop the healing of the bone???? Hope this will help!
This last Monday I was at The Armani hotel at The Burj Kahlifa, at the Meditirenian resturang, very nice. It was my friend Eshita who celibrated her birthday.

RTA

Today we renew our ensurance and got the V70 passed the inspection, we have tried to do that for several days ( or I have), the first day I got it through the inspection but then there where no ensurance. So yesterday we went to the ensurance company and on the phone they told us they had lunch break between 1 and 2. So we went to pic up Cornelia and the to the ensurance comp. But when we got there they had lunch break between 2 and 3.
So today we fixed it al in only 3 hours=)

So now I've got my blog on my iphone, hope I'll have more writing time here now.

26 april

Nu går jag över till Svenska, orkar inte mer på engelska och har ju ändå aldrig tid att skriva här. Mycket upptagen hemma mamma,haha.
I natt åkte lill brossan och Lina hem, saknar dem redan. Har varit jätte mysigt att ha dem här och dom har fått ta hand om oss=)=). Dom kom ner den 14 mars och vi har haft väldigt trevligt ihop.
Den 23 mitt i natten kom Marcus och Jessica och stannar till den 1 Maj.
I går lastad vi in alla 8 i min Tahoe + Enja och körde ner till stranden så Enja fick bada. Det tyckte hon var kanon.
I morse tog Henrik & Marcus barnen till skolan och egentligen skulle jag ha gått på bodypump, men jag sov istället till 8.20, det var längesedan så det var skönt.

Busy busy

I hardly have time to write here I notice. It's a full time job to take care of everything now when Henrik is in his wheelchair.

This Saturday me and Enja started a obedience course here in Meadows 9. There where us and Jenny and Yellow, Kaise and her Beagle (I don't remember the name) and 3 other dogs. After the training session we let the dogs play in Johanna (the trainer) garden and Enja just loved it.

On Sunday morning I left the girls in school and then Enja and I drove outside Meadows 9 for a walk in the dessert (or construction site dessert) with some of the dogs from the course, very nice and Enja got realy tired.

Monday morning I filled in for Melissa at school, reading with the children. That was interesting, I noticed then that despite Cornelia hasn't learned English for so long ( only a year) she is more or less as good as the other children. Cornelia was sick that day, both she and Victoria has cough and a bad cold. But now they are in school again.
Melissa was going to a school in Sharja, she and Cate has been to Nepal and done some charity work there on a school for a project that Cate is very much involved with (www.childrenofthemountain.com), and this school in Sharja had donated some computers and 13 boys from that school was also traveling to Nepal with them.

Tomorrow Cornelia is dressing up like a clown for school, will take a photo and put it here.

Nimlins visiting.

Yesterday I left family Nimlin on the airport, and we miss them a lot already. We spent the whole day at The Lakes club swimming and relaxing, all of us but Henrik, who still can`t walk. And in the evening me and Jessica, Mathias and Clara went to Dubai mall, to watch the fountain's and eat. We ate at Scoozi right beside the Fountain's, and as always our guests loved the Fountain's as much as I do.

During those ten days we have had guests we have done a lot, we have been swimming in the pool and in the sea, we have been shopping and Jessica and Mathias also went to Burj al Arab for a drink and some food.

Last Friday we celebrated Easter and we went to Ras al Khaimah, we had seen some lovely pictures from the marina there and thought that would be a nice place. But it was al under construction and we ended up at the http://www.alhamrafort.com/ , I don`t know about the other restaurant there but the one we eat at was a disaster. But we will for sure remember this Easter dinner.

And Mathias and Jessica also got the opportunity to visit the American hospital. Mathias was out running one evening and twisted his foot. And the morning after he fainted when he got to the breakfast table, so then we took him to the hospital. And he got a pair of crutches! So after that Villa 33 in Springs 1 Street 1 appeared to be a hospital=).

Nimlins visiting

So, now Jessica and Mathias and Clara has been here for a couple of days. We have already been at Lakes club, the beach and today me, Jessica and the children went to the Springs 8 pool. And now Jessica and Mathias took Henrik to the tailor in Satwa to pic up the girls dresses (witch I should have done a long time ago) , so I'm very curious about how they look.

Monday

Today Victoria still is sick, but I dropped of Cornelia at school. And then I went to body pump class and that was hard=). When i came home me and Henrik took Enja for a walk around the lake.
And today at the body pump I spoke to a frien who also has a dog and now i finally got a group of people with dogs who is walking together once a week. And also a trainer who trains groups, so now I hope that she has a place left for me and Enja=). would be great to do some exercises and also meet some dogs, both me and Enaj needs to pratice on that. I think the walks are on Sunday mornings and trainings on either Saturdays och Tuesdays.
When I picked up Cornelia, we went to MOE (Mall of the Emirates) and had lunch and bought two sun chairs. Hope to be able to bring Henrik down to the beach soon!
Victoria has written a book today, containing 13 pages, all in English and with drawings too. If I'm aloud I will scan a page, but she said it was a secret.
Henrik is bored bored bored, but he's in a very good mode (if you ask him=)). Today his plan was to buy a wii, but nothing happened. Me and Cornelia bought "This is it" about Micheal Jacsson's last concert, and we watched it to night, Henrik was in charge of the dinner so he called 800-pizza!!! Tried to get a picture here, but no, that will just don't happen tonight?

Sunday

On Friday a friend of ours had a little girl, who they named Kari (so I know no that I didn't win the competition=)) and everything went well as far as I know.
Today Victoria is home sick (cough) and it's always a bit tricky to leave Cornelia when she knows Victoria is home.
I have been running 6km and it was very warm (28 degrees Cecilius). Henrik has already done his first bench press session, and I'm supposed to help him with the bar, but the problem is that he has 40 kg on it and I can hardly lift it (good exercise for me to).
Today I will prepare Cornelia's room so that Family Nimlin can sleep in there. We are so looking forward to have them here=).
Now Henrik, me and Enja has done a lap around the lake (it's 1,2 km ).
This afternoon Cornelia is having swimming lessons at 4pm I think???
Otherwise the only thing on the agenda today is to try to get someone to fix our dishwasher, life is so much easier when you have one that works (at least for Leela).

Doing nothing

Today we have only been home. Henrik still can't sit up for to long and Victoria has fever and a cough. Cornelia has been with some friends to "Lakes club", that's a pool and fitness center and restaurant. Very nice place and now when it's getting hotter we will be there quite often.
Cornelia is now outside playing with her friends, most of them are playing football. Outside our garden there are more or less always children playing, so that's why we decided to stay here in The Springs another year. Victoria and Cornelia has many friends here and it's very convenient for their mother too=).
Henrik and Victoria are watching Star Wars, I don't know witch episode, but I think they have been watching at least 2 or 3 movies today!!
To night we are having tacos for dinner, so I'm of to do some easy cooking=)
(And because we have done nothing today I just took some old pics=))

I think this thing with blog already has tired me out=). I can't seem to get our blog to be visible for everyone??

Getting started.

So this is our first try to do our blogg. It's not much to start with but hope it will be later on!!
At the moment we are taking care of Henrik, who has broken his right femur and left pelvis.
Me and Henrik were at SkiDubai on Monday the 8th and Henrik did a jump and fell badly, and we left the ski slope with ambulance. You know you should read throw all this insurance papers and also check up hospitals and so on, but time flies and when the ambulance personnel asked where we wanted to go, we where not prepared. But we have heard about The American Hospital (only deliveries though) so we told them to go there. It costed us 300 dhs (600 skr) and the other hospital they talked about was for free. But The American Hospital seems like a good choice. Henrik went trough surgery on Tuesday afternoon. He now has a 40 cm long nail in his right femur and the pelvis is supposed to heal by it self. He came home the 16th and the day before here was a physiotherapist at our home just to see how it would work having a wheelchair here.
Everything went well and now his home and everything is great.
Today he bought a new press bench, just to keep his upper body fit!
